This year Dominique Damien Réhel and Didier Lechien, mayor of Dinan, welcomed the model, Eve Gilles, Miss France 2024, in the running for Miss Universe 2025, as honorary godmother of the Festival.

The jury, chaired by Nelly-Claire Rodi, composed of journalists, presidents of Federations, business leaders and managers of international trade fairs, awarded the Grand Prix of Dinan 2025 to Julien Paoletti and presented no fewer than nine prizes, including some special mentions and surprise awards.

Julien Paoletti wins the 2025 Dinan Grand Prix

Originally from the South of France, Julien Paoletti discovered his passion for fashion design at a very young age. A 2020 graduate of Atelier Chardon Savard in Paris, he began his career in the Balenciaga ateliers before joining the Paule Ka studio. In 2024, he launched his own eponymous brand: Julien Paoletti Paris.

His first collection sets the tone, on an idealized planet where everyone is free to express themselves as they wish. The style is futuristic, its lines are curved and exaggerated.

Prix Pierre Cardin : Eden Kilola Zola - Mod’Spe

Rodrigo Basilicati-Cardin announced his long-term commitment to the International Festival of Fashion Designers, with the Pierre Cardin Prize.

A spontaneous and particularly prestigious award, a true launching pad for a career in design. The first recipient is Mod'Spe graduate Eden Kilola Zola, with her brand Maisonv Lisapo.

She will join the studio, comprised of international talent, of the Pierre Cardin Group, for three months and perhaps longer…

Although born in France, Eden celebrates "the precious soul of the Congo," the land of her family. She rediscovers Congolese cultural treasures: wooden beads, fringed raffia left in its natural state, and symbolic geometric patterns.

Beyond these African skills, Rodrigo Basilicati-Cardin says he was touched by the structure of the cuts, in which he finds the scent of the House of Pierre Cardin.

Dinan Retail/General Public Award: Gianni Lafay Mod'Spe

The Festival highlights emerging generations and opens up fashion creation to the general public.

The parades, in the heart of the city and in the Théâtre des Jacobins, the Round Table, animated for this edition by Emeline Beaumanoir, production director of the Beaumanoir Group, on the theme: How to express one's creativity in the service of a fashion brand? as well as the Like Trail, were accessible to all.

No less than 60,000 likes and views on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, of which 13,000 praised Gianni Lafay, fresh graduate of the Mod'Spe school.

His outdoor collection includes a high-protection maxi trench coat, a bubble jacket fashioned from his father's old duvet , and oversized tracksuits. The fuchsia pink is a striking and perfectly coordinated piece, featuring a reptilian toile de Jouy print of his own design.

Royal Mer Prize 2025: Luna Gambier Mod'Spe School

Texpertise Prize: Hugo Gaudry - ESMOD, Claudia Franz and Magloire

Hugo Gaudry will be going to Vietnam, invited to visit the VIATT trade fair, thanks to Claudia Franz, Textile and Brand Director of Messe Frankfurt, as will Clément Isel, the 24th winner.

The technical aspect of Hugo Gaudry's large raincoats, worn over down jackets and his shirts made from old umbrella canvases, are there to embody and above all defend his native and much-loved North.

NÉONYT Claudia Franz, Léa Senda - ESMOD, Frederic Maus, Sylvie Pourrat.

Claudia Franz Messe Frankfurt, Frédéric Maus and Sylvie Pourrat Who's Next will welcome Léa Senda to their Néonyt space, dedicated to committed fashion .

A vibrant Breton spirit blends subtly with Japanese precision. Léa designs her pieces according to three principles: simplicity, durability, and authenticity. The assembly of salvaged pieces from old martial arts uniforms defines the construction of each of her garments.

DA France Eco-Responsible Award

DA France selects and distributes exceptional organic coffees. They are transported in jute bags printed with the names of their places of origin.

The ten designers had to create an accessory of their choice, made from this natural material.

Julien Paoletti, the winner of the Dinan 25 Grand Prix, was also the winner of the Eco-responsible Prize, awarded by DA France.

Her bag, constructed like a corset with a laced back, perfectly evoked the spirit of her collection, while respecting the imposed framework.

Surprise Prize: Maxime Verrier and Michael Scherpe

Presented to Maxime Verrier by Michael Scherpe, CEO of the official Messe Frankfurt France and Monaco delegation.

This post-apocalyptic collection celebrates the beauty of lived experience and the strength of imperfections.

Maxime Verrier, a graduate of the IFA (Institut Français d'Art), currently working for Alain Figaret, salvages, repairs, and reinvents materials. He does so in a Kintsugi spirit. His immense felt coats bear the scars of visible seams. His gender-neutral tunics of coarse wool are adorned with fleece scarves and cuffs, offering protection from the elements.

Nelly-Claire Rodi's favorite: Rebecca Nardi

Nelly-Claire Rodi was truly captivated by the experimental approach of the self-taught fashion designer, interior architect Rebecca Nardi.

Rebecca transforms seat belts, which she collects, knife in hand, from car junkyards in her Savoy region.

She extracts the core, finding a fiber which she transforms into threads of different appearances. After shredding the raw material, she weaves, crochets and knits the spiderweb-like threads of her invention, to metamorphose them into garments worthy of Haute Couture.
